DEAR SENATE: End Your Illegal Obamacare Exemption!
When Obamacare was being debated the American people demanded that Congress drop their taxpayer-funded employer-provided coverage and go into the new exchanges in order to experience what millions of other Americans were experiencing. And they actually did the right thing, including language in the law, Section 1312(d)(3)(D), that required them to go into the Obamacare exchange and authorizing no employer contribution.
But it never happened.
After passing Obamacare, Congress begged Obama to let them personally off the hook.
Obama obliged by issuing an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) rule which shielded Congress from the soaring cost of Obamacare by allowing Congress to falsely certify itself as a small business and unlawfully fund premiums for members of Congress from the DC small business exchange.
Senator Johnson’s Amendment #272 would overturn the OPM rule and force Congress to follow the law.
Tell the Senate to VOTE YES on Amendment #272!
